The HTS Group consists out of two companies: HTS UK Ltd. and HTS Belgium N.V. HTS was founded in 1986 after a MBO from Grow Group, Inc.–USA and took over the European Automotive OEM business geared towards custom-made solvent blends for the paintshop. Grow Automotive, now part of PPG Industries, has been active in the OEM solvent field since the thirties.

The ‘High Efficiency’ know-how was also required and products using that technology are now supplied to the Automotive OEM. HTS adapted and improved on the existing system of operating in ‘teamwork’ with the Automotive OEM industry. The same for the Bus and Truck manufacturers confronted with paint application and associated problems. HTS develops and formulates ‘High Efficiency' thinners for solvent and waterborne blends. Indeed, an in-depth knowledge of paint application based on the experience of its employees, a professional team recruited from the paint, chemical and automotive industries, is something to be proud of. A joint effort has been ongoing for many years to reduce Ozon Depleting Chemicals (ODC's), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) in all plant-site operations. Keeping constantly abreast of developments in the petrochemical industry, HTS became the leader in using High Efficient Cleaning Thinners for waterborne and solventborne paint systems. We calculate success by how much we save for the customer through increased efficiency whilst upgrading the quality of the paint jobs.

R & D is carried out in our Belgian laboratory and products are manufactured throughout Europe in as close as possible proximity to the customer. ‘Custom - made products’ means that both the needs of car manufacturers and our own standards are met especially for the exacting requirements of purge cycles and the products used in our formulae. Solvent streams undergo extensive research, lab testing and ‘actual conditions application’ before a premium quality, single client product is supplied to the customer. HTS has experience with more than 30 paint shops in Europe where we supply thinners and give the required service. This assures that our on-line technical service staff obtains a thorough knowledge in latest paint application techniques and systems through overflow experience.
